In the process of boiling our Coastal Goobers peanuts,  phytochemicals or antioxidants are released from the peanuts shells. In fact, there are 4x as many antioxidants in our boiled peanuts than raw or roasted peanuts!

Boiled peanuts also contain a type of polyphenol called Resveratol. Resveratrol is known to be beneficial in maintaining healthy cell growth, and in the prevention of malignant growth of cells that could lead to various types of cancer.

Boiled peanuts are a low calorie snack…A 1 oz. serving of boiled shelled peanuts contains 90 calories, versus 166 calories in the same serving of dry roasted shelled peanuts and 170 calories in dry roasted almonds.

*The only downfall with boiled peanuts is the amount of Sodium. If eaten is inordinate amounts sodium can lead to high blood pressure level. However, considering Coastal Goobers peanuts nutrition facts, consuming goobers is a good thing to do!
